bio

After working in nonprofit communications, I launched my writing career by creating a trans media experience for the pop culture smash Teen Wolf. The success of that online experience earned me a Webby Award and a coveted spot in the writers room on the MTV breakout hit show. After helping write and produce a hundred episodes of Teen Wolf, I went on to serve as a writer/producer on Salvation, a sci-fi show for CBS Television, Station 19, one of the latest offerings from Shondaland, and at Marvel Television. I'm currently serving as Co-Executive Producer on American Horror Story and developing new shows for Disney+, 20th Television, and Bad Robot.

As an independent filmmaker, I've directed three short narratives including Prom, which premiered at the 2020 Austin Film Festival, and am in development on An Unlikely Friendship, a feature film about race and female friendship that will be my feature directorial debut. In addition to my own films, I serve as Executive Producer on movies that showcase unique voices and stories, including Jinn and Max and Me.

Along with my work in entertainment, I'm a long-time volunteer policy advocate with the global anti-poverty agency CARE, and I'm proud to serve on the Board of Directors for CARE’s political advocacy arm Care Action. I also serve as co-chair of the Think Tank for Inclusion and Equity (TTIE), a consortium of TV writers dedicated to expanding the voice and reach of under-represented peoples in the entertainment industry and I sit on the board of the Writers Guild of America PAC.
