VISION

Nationsfilm celebrates unique and unsung voices in independent film. Through development, financing and production, we bring spiritually and culturally relevant stories to life. Playing with the conventions of storytelling technique, genre and social stereotypes, we present today’s savvy audiences with films that provoke, entertain and inspire.

THE PRODUCER

After several years of working in marketing and communications for small businesses and non-profit organizations, I realized I needed more creative expression. So I wrote and directed a short film. And as most everyone’s first film does, it sucked. But even in its suckage, it still opened doors for me. I became the first person to win a full scholarship to Vancouver Film School. Studying Film Production at VFS totally shaped my view of filmmaking, the world and myself. It was an amazing experience that I’ll always treasure.

After school, I returned to Atlanta during a resurgence of filming in Georgia. I worked as a producer’s assistant and as an office production assistant for a few projects before returning to the indie world, which is where my heart is.

When I’m not writing or producing, I work as an anti-poverty activist. I volunteer with groups such as the ONE Campaign, CARE, and Sustenance Group.
